'Too Hot to Handle' Season 6: How the Netflix Series Ended and Which Couples Are Still Together (2024)

Bad Lana's antics are finally over as the sun sets on another season of Too Hot to Handle.

The Netflix hit released its season 6 finale on Friday, Aug. 2, bringing an end to Bri Balram, Charlie Jeer, Chris Aalli, Cristian Lager, DeMari Davis, Flavia Laos Urbina, Gianna Pettus, Jalen Olomu-Brown, Joao Coronel, Katherine LaPrell, Lucy Syed, Sabrina Zima, Valentina Rueda Velez, Kylisha Jag, Louis Russell, and Jordan Frank's journeys in the villa.

Throughout the season, the cast worked to develop genuine connections with a potential partner — all while fighting their sexual urges and past tendencies to prioritize physical connections over emotional ones.

Like in seasons past, the singles were being monitored under the watchful eye of Lana, who was making sure that they abstained from sexual activity of any kind — self-gratification included — for their chance at the $250,000 prize. However, this season also saw a new twist: the introduction of Bad Lana, who tempted the cast with offers of bad behavior that sounded appealing in the moment — but also came at a cost.

The all-knowing cone and her "bad" counterpart caused havoc in the villa up until the very end, which resulted in surprises for some and happy endings for others. Below, find out what happened in the season 6 finale, and if the cast rose to the challenge and grew as an individuals, or reverted back to their old ways.

Winning Couple: Bri and DeMari

Bri and DeMari had a rocky journey in the villa, but ultimately ended up on top, claiming the winning couple title after a 7:1 vote by their castmates. With the win, the two walked away with $100,000.

"This has been such an unreal experience. I'm leaving with a man, I'm past all my trust issues and six figures? Yeah!" Bri said after their win, as DeMari added, "This is like storybook ending."

Leading up to the finale, the two weathered several challenges together. Bri's decision to kiss multiple men in the first episode resulted in her temporary banishment from the villa. While she was gone, DeMari spent some time with new arrival Flavia — a date in which Bri took up Bad Lana's offer to spy on them from banishment and spend some of the group's prize fund.

After she returned to the villa, the two coupled up once again – but things got rocky when Bad Lana put DeMari on a date with new bombshell Valentina. He ended up kissing Valentina, and although he was honest with Bri about what they did, she was less than thrilled and iced DeMari out for a bit.

They finally saw eye-to-eye and she forgave him, but were faced with yet another challenge when Bri was put on a date with new arrival Jalen. Despite him being her type, Bri stayed loyal to DeMari and the two later made things official by DeMari asking Bri to be his girlfriend.

Today, Bri and DeMari tell PEOPLE they aren't officially together, but rather view their relationship as "BriMari on a break."

"It's complicated," DeMari says. "We're working on things ... It was real in there, but it was such a small window. So we've really have been trying to learn each other on the outside of everything. I had delayed reactions to coming back to the real world, so we're on really good terms of trying to figure things out, but it's tough."

Adds Bri: "I'm not dating anybody else and he said he isn't, so..."

Runners-Up: Katherine and Charlie

Katherine and Charlie seemed like an unlikely duo to place second after their wild experiences in the villa. Though they had an initial spark, both pursued connections with other people — Charlie with Lucy and Katherine with Louis.

Eventually, Katherine realized her connection with Louis was purely physical and after an impactful workshop in which Charlie and Katherine were paired up and forced to get vulnerable with each other, the two realized the spark was still there. They ended things with their respective partners and paired up, remaining together through the rest of the show — even after both were tempted with new arrivals Cristian and Sabrina, and amid concerns about Charlie's wandering eyes.

"Everything Charlie and I have gone through to get to this point... this is an amazing night, there's fireworks, I'm with Charlie, I'm just the happiest girl in the world," Katherine raved.

Today, Katherine and Charlie tell PEOPLE they're still happily together.

"I really wanted to make sure that whilst I was in there, I didn't rush anything or make anything happen too quickly. And I think that is one reason why we have been so solid together," Charlie says. "Because I didn't want to ask her to be my girlfriend on the show or tell her I loved her on the show, even though I kind of knew it and felt it. I wanted to give us a chance on the outside."

Recalling their first time meeting up outside of the retreat, Katherine adds: "It's like, 'Okay, is this actually going to work?' But then, I realized, 'Oh, yeah. No, I love this man. I want to make it work.'"

Winning Individual: Gianna

Gianna struggled to make a meaningful connection with any of the guys in the villa until Louis split from Katherine and pursued her. Though the two appeared to have a strong interest in each other, it was fleeting as Louis was sent home soon after for falling into his old habits.

This left Gianna solo once again, and she continued her journey in the villa single until the very end — all while maintaining a clean record on not breaking any rules. As a result, Gianna beat out Chris and Lucy as the person who had the "most transformative journey" in the villa.

Because she followed all the rules and embraced the process, Gianna walked away from the retreat with the winning individual title and a $25,000 prize.

"In the past, I was so scared to be alone. I would look for quick forms of gratification and it felt lonely," she said in the finale, before declaring what she had learned. "You can still find a way to love and trust no matter who leaves, who walks in, who touches your heart and who doesn't."

"$25,000 makes a kiss-free retreat so much more worth it!" she added. "Not only did I just get $25,000 but I got specially recognized by Lana. I'm putting that on my resume when I get home!"

What About the Rest of the Cast?

Flavia and Joao

Flavia was a season 4 alum who entered the retreat mid-way through to shake things up and though she gave a chance to all the men, she quickly realized her connection was strongest with Joao.

The two appeared to be solid throughout the entire journey until the final episode when Joao broke things off — via an awkward song he wrote and performed for Flavia, in which he sang, "Is Our Time Up Now?" Their breakup came after Flavia expressed interest in Jalen, another last minute entry, and Joao struggled to overcome those trust issues.

"Flavia and I have been rock solid since day three but this was the most mature, respectful and honest way this could've ended," he said afterwards. "I knew I wasn't gonna be able to talk it out and be honest. That's why I sang a breakup song — really I'm sorry about that. From now on, I will look at the person in the eyes and I will not run away from disappointment."

Though initially hurt by his actions and decision to dump her with a song, Flavia later came to an understanding. "I do want to have you in my life after this because I think we understand each other and we do get along," she told her former partner.

After filming wrapped, Joao and Flavia remained separated, PEOPLE can confirm. They are not together today, but consider each other best friends and are still in each others' lives without any pressure or commitment of a relationship.

Sabrina and Chris

Like Gianna, Chris struggled to find a genuine connection with any of the women until Sabrina entered the villa as a last-minute addition. Though she opted to go on her first date with Charlie, he remained loyal to Katherine — so Sabrina set her sights on Chris.

Almost instantly, the two hit it off and coupled up and remained a pair as the show came to a close.

"I've never met a girl like Sabrina before, I can't lie to you. She makes me want to release my emotions. You are different, you're built different," he said. "I've spent 23 years of my life single because I don't want to get my heart broken but I've actually got a place for [Sabrina] here."

"Chris makes me feel safe to open up because he's vulnerable with his feelings," Sabrina added.

Though both appeared to be committed to making things work outside of the villa, PEOPLE can confirm that Chris and Sabrina never established an exclusive relationship after the show. The pair did, however, stay in touch post-retreat and Chris says he's "added a picture of Sabrina to his vision board."

"Watch this space," he promises.

The Others

Prior to the finale, Jordan opted to leave the villa early after striking out with his top choice Flavia and failing to find any other connections. Valentina also left on her own accord due to personal family reasons, while Kylisha and Louis were eliminated by Lana for not being fully open to the experiment.

Fellow cast members Cristian, Jalen, and Lucy made it to the finale and completed their journeys single, though each made progress in their personal growth.
